Can someone help me get a good but cheap machine. I already have a sweet computer as you have probably already read some of my posts of how I have a 800 celeron overl****ed top 1,300 and still can go higher. The problem is. my mom wants to get rid of her computer but she has a pentium 233mhz. ****ty hun?? She saus she can get good money for it, but like mosat mom's, they know nothing abnout computers. i told my mom that is like extinct now. LOL! So to get back to the subject, I am a expert at overl****ing and computer hardware but like everyone, need some advice. AI just spent tons of money on my new 1 and need to start saving for a car. What celeron should i get for my mom. I already have them hooked up on ethernet so we can play games but imagine playing with a nice 800mhz celeron with a new voodo 5 and having a 233mhz with a graphics card that doesn't even have 3d on it. LOL! Doesn't work very good. I have a ghood hardrive in it so all i need is a motherboard, prosesser, and some kind of cooling. Does anyone have any ideas on hat i should get. Oh by the wayk, i want to overclock it. Does a 700mhz good of should i try lower.

thanks!

k. Thanks!!! I also want a prossecor that can handle almost all the games out there. Any body heard of a game called max payne. It is awsome the only bad thing is that it requires a 766mhz prossesor. that sucks! I played it on my 800mhz cleron, the baby qorks like a beaty with 768mb of pc-133 ram to help it run. Boy does that ram help. LOL!

I thought you said it doesn't need to do 3d???

Also, where are the benchmarks on that Celeron II 800 @ 1300?

I got my 800 celeron to 1,375 by making the FSB 125 and the multplier speed 11. I have the core voltage at 1.95

use your brain. That's 1,375

You've just proved yourself a liar.

You can't change the multipliar on intels. Looks like i used my brain and you didn't. I want to see some benchmark screenshots if you are not lying.

GOOD JOB....NICE O/C.

All the guys of overclockers.com are waiting to know how you've unlocked the multiplier of your Celeron2 800Mhz!

First, flaming isn't very smart, because when you put yourself out there like you just did, things get messy.

Also, lying is not acceptable, especially since this is not a peeing contest. We are here to tweak to the max and learn, not to compare the size of our ... harddrives ;). If you feel the need to have the best numbers, get hardware that can actually perform to those expectations... otherwise, fantasy figures are worthless to the benefit of all the members here.

Im sorry for "flaming" you MAD Butter, but seriously read what pinky said. LoL hard drives LoL

This is a great forum you just can't lie. What did lieing get you, a whole bunch of laughs for everyone else? Just look around and maybe we could help you get your computer to a more realistic speed like 1200. Thats if you have a Celeron 800.

Tell us your specs, and we will help you as much as we can.....AS OVERCLOCKERS.

Now, no more lieing, and we'll see what you can achieve.

Damn you must be an expert to unlock an Intel chip. What tools did you use to open it up? Do you work for Intel or have the layouts of the CPU? Damn 1.7ghz out of 800 must be the work of an expert. Especialy all air cooled.
lol

What's with the 'overl****ed'? Last time I checked, clock was acceptable language, even though it's mispelled... Anyways, if your mother can get good money for your Pentium Pro, let her, you can transfer the funds to the new system

Yea, pentium pros are great. If you don't play games or do have 12 different windows open at once they're fine. My brother (admin at HP) has tons of them at work. They aren't bad at all and get better money than regular pentiums.
