If your radeon was AGP and you switched to a PCI card you will have to switch it in the bios, most of the time.

i think you should try setting the primary video/display card option in your bios from agp to pci
that should work
It still wont work.....I have gota play 4x4 Evolution!
When I goto Display properties it does nothing and when I hit alt+ctrl+del and end task for "Rundll32" And then try to goto Dipsplay properties again It says "Diamond Monster 3D II Not Found" The actual video card I am useing is a AGP Trident 950 or something and i have teh Voodoo2 in a PCI slot, Now I have teh cable running from the AGP card into the voodoo2 and my monitor pugged into the voodoo2 like its sopposed to be, Now why isnt it working? I had tried this car dout in a Cyrix 266 board with 2 PCI and 2-3 ISA slots with a PCI slot and it worked fine...even though the cpu was way to even run Tribes 1 it worked fine though...But why isnt it working here?
Also it says "Class Not Registerd" some times when I goto display properties, I have also tried the newst drivers...
Boot into safe mode and remove all display adapters listed. Reboot and try reinstalling the drivers once more.
Is this a card you've had a while or just a cheapie to last you for a bit? If it's new check the chipset on it and make sure you're getting the right drivers. I bought a Vortex SQ1500 and got a SQ2500 in the box before. It took me 3 days to figure out what was going on. CD and manual was right but the card was actually a better version.
It's a long shot but worth checking on unless it worked before.
The Card is definitly a Voodoo2, cause I had it working with the same drivers before...But I am gonna try what you said.
Also the card is not listed as a Display Adapter but....
Here is what its listed as

Monster 3DII cards are video accelerators, not primary display adapters. I had my old system running a TNT2 w/ 2-12mb Monster 3DII's w/ no problems for 2 years.(great for UT and Quake 3)
I think Jon has the right idea, remove all your video drivers and start from scratch.

Umm....what OS are you using?
And you are running another video card with that VooDoo right? I don't want to insult your intelligence, just want to cover the simple stuff first.
Win98se
I run a cable from the THE video card which plugs into the VGA ports on the voodoo2 and then the voodoo2 has another VGA port for the monitor now i have my monitor, Now I am not mad at you as I may seem like I am but I am mad at this thing because it will not work...I mean im sick of going to display properties and getting the message "Diamond Monster 3d II Not Found. Contact Diamond Tech Support" then "Class Not Registerd" Well then I got news for you peice of crap (voodoo2) Diamond tech support isnt even around Anymore!!!
I have tried the newst and the oldest drivers..all PCI slots..I have the bios look for a PCI video or whatever...this just sux!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
I am gonna attach pics..they are not exactly mine but same basic setup...
Pic Number 2 Cable is not exactly like the one i have but it worked before in an older computer...

Do you have another computer to see if that thing actually works? Maybe it's a dead card. I would also try another PCI slot. (I imagine that you have tried every single one in your board by now.)
No it was working...I have said twice that it was working in another computer...might wanna read a bit closer..I have also siad that I have tried all PCI slots
Sorry if I act a litte agitated but I just want this thing to work, I just tried the Reference drivers from the 3dfx site... I installed them BUT when my pc go to the desktop it locks.. I had to remove the cardn to get fully booted..
I got the old drivers install but no go...still doesnt work...
BUMP
It took me 3 days but I got IT!!!n Apperntly there was a set of drivers out that fixed the voodoo+athlon conflict, luckly I found them and they WORK! so now tribes and 4x4 Evolution run, In glide anyway, is there anyway to get this thing to run in D3D? cause when I run 4x4 evo in D3d my crappie 4 meg video card takes over and then it has all kinda of glitches and stuff...
Also When i get my ATI Radeon I am seriously thinking of getting another one of thesebabys and going dual, Couldnt hurt to try?

I have a voodoo2 12mb if you have anything to trade for it. If you install the 3dfx mini gl drivers you can get you game to work in openGL but Ive never played that game so I dont know if it supporst GL PM me if you have somthing to trade.

i'm having that same problem with my computer,i hate the factory installed 4mb intel card:mad: i'm having this problem with madden 2002...the damn card takes over and runs like crap and i want to run the game with my voodoo2.theres no menu in 2k2 to select your gfx card by name...only standard mode and compatibilty mode...both still use the damn intel card.
Try 3d control center. It's a little utility that allows you to set which card will be the defualt Direct3D device used for Direct3D games. Glide games on the other hand should always use the Voodoo2 card. You can get ithere. (http://www.3dfiles.com/utility/3dcontrolcenter.shtml)
