A while back my Duron 800 would do 1050 aircool with stock HSF but now I'm lucky if it will even allow me to change the multipliers. I have checked the L1 bridges several times but the seem to be still connected with nothing crossed. I used resin core solder to connect them so I am sure that the juice be flowin through. what else could be wrong with it?

welcoem to the forums......umm u said u have checked teh L1 quite a few times...u might want to check if your core has been crushed....i tried to put on a golden orb(stupid mistake) after 1 year i took it off...and i found the top corners were crushed a bit...i am like i am surpiresd it still workd.....i could only get 850Mhz outa that think 100x8.5 at 900mhz it wouldnt load windows...and i found it odd that my 700duron could get 950mhz no problem both were AKBA/9 but one would o/c 100mhz more it was odd but now i know why...it was orignal a 650 and 850 200mhz mroe wasnt too bad since the core was hurt hehe.

I checked the core also. No chips, no cracks, runs fine at 800. I can up the fsb to about 105 before I have problems starting it, seems to want to boot only after cooling down for a bit. Might I have a heat problem?
