i had this funky idea while looking in my case at my SLK-900 and thought someone must of tried it

so have u watercooling peeps tried it ?? and also if it was possible which i think it is do u think it would cool it down enuff ??

its been done with similar heatsinks, results weren't bad.
its a waste with slk900 though, they're like 40 bucks and a WW is 50. You'll probably end up sending more just to make it.
 
yup, your right. The actual reason it does not work is because the heat doesnt have to transfer all that high up the fins and can be taken away by the water much faster than air can. thats why fins and stuff are so much shorter on waterblocks.

Yea, it would work if you took an sk6 or 7 and cut the fins down until they were ~1 cm high. I don't think it would be worth the effort though.
