I'm going to overclock my computer, but need a *quiet* Heatsink & fan plus I need to get fans for my case. I've looked at delta, thermaltake, etc. So give me your recommendations. Remember it has to be quiet and performs. I need two case fans. Does anyone one know if those slot fans *the ones that occupy a slot* work well? I was thinking of a golden orb for HSF. Let me know what you all think.
Well if your really adventures then you might think about watercooling cause that is supposed to be pretty silent while still preforming good. Which CPU are you going to be trying to cool (maybe i missed it) if it is a t-bird i would NOT reccommend the super orb due to two loud loud loud fans and not setellar preformance. my 2 cents.
I would sugest a glaciator for a HSF or a Switftech MC462-A w/sanyo fan.
For case fans I think the Panaflow 92x92x32 are suposed to be really quiet.

Glaciator if you have an AMD, SVC GoldenGate with 27cfm fan if you have an Intel Chip.

I forgot to mention I'm going to use a celeron 600 or 667 to overclock to 1ghz. The panaflow seems very nice and quiet. Is there any other suggestions on case fans? well also let me clearify about the cpu fan, I am using a slotkey with the HSF. So what HSF will give me enough room to put it in my computer. It seems that many of the HSF are really big. Like golden orb and such. I just noticed that the thermaltake case fans on eBay its a 90mm fan w/ 56cfm and its using 2 ball bearings. quiet or not quiet?

with a celron you don't really need a big and loud hsf. I bet you could use the siftech 462 and w/ no fan (if there's decent airflow of course)

If you say I don't need a big and loud HSF. Whats a decent one then good for overclocking and quiet? I'm not a crazy overclocker. I just want to hit 1ghz and thats it.

gladiator
glaciator
mc 462
There's more on the front page (reviews of hsf) If you want it queit under volt your fans. I have my galaditor fan (about as noisy as the delta) running at 5v and can't hear it. I don't think it would hurt temps at all.
