Can someone please lay out the proper steps for using Ghost under Win2K? Since its Win2K, Ghost prompts you to go into DOS and create/restore images that way. I attempted to make the Ghost "boot disk", but when it wouldn't succesfully boot! I guess that would be a major problem if I needed it to work, huh? This may be a really stupid request, but most of you know that its a necessity, especially now that my system is running solid. I've looked well into the Symantec support and tutorials, but I keep coming up emtpy-handed. I read somewhere that you need a Win9x boot disk in order to make the ghost boot disk (I have both WinME and Win98 boot disk) but then what? I even tried copying the "Ghostpe.exe" file onto one of those boot disks, but it won't fit! Someone please help...

I went to Symantec's Ghost2K1 KB site ...

http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/ghost/ghost2001_search_solve.html

...typed in "boot disk" (without the quotes), and the search came up with 1738 results...quite a few dealing specifically with W2K.;)

I have loaded about 150 Win2k machines using this very program without an issue.

If you are ghosting your hard drives skip the boot floppy. You can write those files right to your image CD when you create it and just boot from CDROM.
