What the difference between an AGP 8x and an AGP 8x Pro.

a PRO slot is larger and is used for design cards like the wildcat oxygen and sometimes the ATI FIRE GL / NVIDIA QUATRO cards

so if your into cad / 3d design and you buy one of these cards you will likely need a pro slot.
