I just have to tell you guys about this one....
Tuesday I was driving to a friends house to give him a hand with installing a new H/D and I passed a trashpile with a computer case sitting on the side. In the past I have stopped and looked and found little in these kinds of cases but what do you think I found this time..............?
Not anything really great but it was worth my time to stop and pick it up. It is a case without sides on it, a AMD K6-2 300 mhz. chip, and a Asus mother board. Someone had ripped apart the psu but everything else looked good. I brought it home and blew the dust out / off of it and installed a old psu, vid card and modem in it and cranked it up. What do you know it worked. The next thing was to O/C it. I bumped the FSB several times and got it to boot and run at 420. The first thing I did after that was to install F@H and download a w/u. It is now happily folding away for OC.COM. It isn't any speed deamon but it will give us a w/u to our credit every day ( 25 hrs. ). I think I can push it a little more if I bump the core a little but I want to let it burn a little while before I do any more.
