I'm was planning on deleting my hotmail email account, but I have some old emails in it that I'd like to keep. I switched over to Thunderbird yesterday and I can't create an account for hotmail on it, because hotmail doesn't run off an IMAP or POP3 server and it would need to in order for me to create an account for it on Thunderbird email client.

Truth be told I never planned on creating a hotmail account on thunderbird, but I would still like to save the messages I have stored in the hotmail inbox before I delete the account. I was wondering maybe if there was a way I could copy all the messages in my inbox and paste them to a program like: Word, Notepad, Wordpad, OpenOffice, ect..or if there was any other way I could copy or save all those messages to my computer.

I know I could copy and paste all of them one by one, but there are alot of messages and that would be majorly too tedious. If anyone has any ideasI would appreciate it. You can post or IM me on ICQ, whichever you prefer. Thanks for everyones' imput and I look forward to looking at all the responses. Thanks again :).

PS: I was wondering if I could do the same thing in Netscape Mail?

i belive outlook express can download your hotmail emails, then you can export them to excel from there.

good luck!

A quick google search found me this:

Hotmai Popper (http://www.boolean.ca/hotpop/)

It seems to fit your needs but i've never so I can't say how well it works.
