Everytime I try to download Windows updates, a bothersome little screen pops up and tells me that it hasn't passed the Windows logo test.

I've tried diabling the little verification thing, running Adware, and Norton, nothing seems to be helping.

I have Windows XP, everything is running real chunky and the computer likes to freeze up for a minute. Anyone help me out?

Windows logo testing simply verifies that the driver manufacturer has signed onto Microsoft's verification program.

It's a bit surprising to see this come up during a Windows update...Usually any driver they offer has passed the logo testing. It is possible, however that there are associated drivers which are attempting to intall on your machine that are resident on your hard drive.

Try doing Windows update and only install the critical updates first and see if this comes up.
