AKCA and AKBA are the best Durons, but you're only going to find those in the older speeds - 600 to 700 MHz. I also imagine they're pretty rare as they were the first cores of Durons to be released. My 700 that I bought in February was a week 5 2001 AMCA... all the AKBA's and AKCA's are 2000 fab year chips.
Honestly, for as cheap as a TBird 1 GHz is, you'd almost be better off going that route, or else trying to find a 1 GHz Morgan core Duron. It's getting kind of ridiculous to try and overclock Durons, esp. the Spitfire cores. We're finding out that no matter the rated speed, they're topping at around 1250 or so. And when the cooling costs more than the chip, you gotta wonder a little. Now a Morgan - that would excite me. It's a new frontier, a new chip to play with.
Just my 2 cents (though I spewed quite a bit more than 2 cents worth :) )

Actually my 800 is an AKCA. From what I've read the AKBA are the absolute best with the AKCA a solid second. I got a good overclock out of mine, read the sig.
