Simple question,

I was wondering since I already got two sticks of CL2 256MB Micron Dimms and I got 1 ram slot left. I was wondering if Micron will be planning on manufacturering 512MB PC133CL2 Ram dimms in the future? There is many of us out there that have KT133/a motherboards that can take advantage of this fast large memory ram. As far as the website says, they have 32/64/128/256 as of now.

Good question! I really can't answer it, sorry. 512 Mb PC-133 Sdram sticks are made by other outfits, if you just gotta have one...

Corsair had just released their 512mb PC-133, cas-2 chips at $112.00
PC-150 at cas-3 is $120.00
All are USD.

A bit off-topic perheps, but I wonder:

Does 512 Mb over 256 Mb offer a big performance improvement? If the comp is used as a work/playstation that is.

Regards,
Henry.

Depends on the operating system and what you do with your setup. Win2000/XP will like as much ram as you can fit. Win98/ME tops out at about 384-512mb.
