I just purchased this case, and set everything up without a problem... I even put the optional fan on the top blowing out... My cooling on the other hand is awful... Currently my system temps average around 36C  and there seems that there is no way of me fixing this... Does anyone have any suggestions? My system config is in my Sig, and it's really hard to clear the cables in the case to help the airflow through it. Also could you post your temps, and how you achieved that? I have a feeling that I am not getting enough cool air venting in the front. Could that be to the hard-drives blocking a part of that, and how would I make that better? Thanks for your time... :bang head

I have a black wavemaster with a side window i got a while ago. I opted to leave in i/o ports on top (cause i need 'em), and instead mount a fan on the side window.
as for cable management, i have to say, i've owned two Lian li's and went thru tons of other brand cases and this case was as easy as a midtower can be with hiding cables and managing them.

I use rounded ide cables and get them so that they are just long enough to make it. even sometimes flat ide cable can be bended in such a way as two stay completely off to the side. Just don't fold and crease it, just bend it...

Look into custom sata cables if they get in the way of other wires...

Also the front intake does a better job at being quiet than it does moving air imo. I now have 4 hard drives there, and close to nothing in terms of air flow move past there now.

If your temps are a major concern, i would mod the front intake to let more air in, and maybe change out the front fans with more power. Also, you want to add a fan somewhere, otherwise you have only two fans blowing in, and probrably 3 or 4 blowing out. Need to keep that air fresh!

Yeah, I want to get a side window, and mount a fan on the side, but is there any place where I could buy a side window with a side fan already mounted on? I think that would help the airflow a ton...

If I were U I'd do it yourself (it's a lot cheaper). But check out frozencpu.com I think they might

Well I went there, and I found this great window http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/win-02.html and I was wondering if it would work with the wave master, and if it's just a window, not the panel to fit on the side and if would come in my color of silver to match my case?

i had the same problem as you. since the two intake fans in the front are severely limited, i turned the rear exhaust fan around to make it an intake, since the psu and blowhole are adequate for exhaust. oh i also removed the foam filter from the blowhole fan mount. ;)

that is a great idea! what are your system temps that you are getting with that new arrangement? Also do you have the top fan blowing in or out?

He has it blowing out.

I was wondering if this side window ( http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/win-02.html ) would fit this side panel ( http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product&p_serial=SPB-T01-ESV&other_title=SPB-T01-ESVSide%20Panel ) for the wave master... That way I believe I would get great cooling for this case...

I have the Praetorian which I think is the same internal setup as the WM. I replaced all the 80mm fans with some Antecs I had lying around that push 35cfm, removed all the filters, replaced the top mesh with free flowing mesh and made that an exhaust (CM has it as an itake) and added a 120mm to the side case. I have 4 HDD's that steal most of the cool air from the front 2 80mm fans and I still have the crappy stock mesh up front.

Wire managment is a little difficult with 4 HDD's, my Radeon, 2 opitcal's and 5 case fans. But I do manage to get my case temps at a respactable level especially considering I'm running a prescott.

Must do's:
-replace all the 80mm fans with better units
-get rid of the filters
-turn the blowhole so its blowing out (maybe that was only on my box!?!?)
-add a fan to the side case blowing over the CPU
-wire managment, do the best you can.
-replace that restrictive stock mesh with something that flows.

yeah See I want to get that window with 2x92mm fans which I think would bring the temps way down, but I just need to know if it would fit that side panel also which 92mm fans are the best for the job? Silence would be a plus...

Please I need to know the sooner the better because I am leaving for college soon, and would like to make sure my case is all done so it would be easier for me...

damobster,

yes that window kit will fit inside the side panel. but for 24 bucks u could just buy a wavemaster side panel with a window and just install the fans yourself for a few more bucks.
also, frozen cpu overly charges. you can get the same exact thing by looking around at other dealers online, or even going to home depot for some plexi and getting some rubber molding.

What do you think would be better the 1x120mm fan or the 2x92mm fans? Which brand do you recommend I get too? The only reason why I want to do the kits is because I just got my tonsils out a couple days ago, and I don't want to work on making a side panel, plus I've never done it before and I'm worried I would mess up on it, and make the side panel look awful...
