Can't Install "Critical Updates" / Virus?

There are 3 updates that I can d/l, but during the install something fails and nothing gets installed.
Anti-virus says no and nothing in Adaware. Cache,etc. are clean.

Any ideas?

What OS.

I have had this problem in 2K pro. Turned out the updates I was trying to install were already included in a later update which I had previously installed.

try downloading them manually. Click on the "Read More" or "Details" for the Critical Update and it should open a window where you can download it.

Yeh Windows does this sometimes, what you do is you manually download them and install them yourself. Rememer it's MS, did you expect it to be perfect?
