nforce controll panel (sound)

when i installed the Nforce drivers on my NF7-S, the nforce controll panel came with it. I diddnt think anything of it at the time, but now that i ave 5.1 its great.

However, i cant seem to get it to even install on an NF7-M, which i thought had the same sound. (both PC's use identical 5.1)

So, why is it installing the nforce drivers dont install the sound controll panel on an nf7-m, but it does on my nf7-s?

different n-force north/south bridge I think.

yeah I think it has a 3rd party audio codec instead of soundstorm

The NF7-M uses AC97 audio, the NF7-S uses the Nvidia soundstorm.

Bah!

So how would i go about getting the rear speakers to work?

do the same holes still go to the same plugs?

ya, of course it will still support 5.1, but you might have to install the nvidia system utility. check nvidias site for downloads on their nforce chipsets.
