What MEMTEST86 version to install?

What version of memtest should i get...whats the latest. i see 3.1a but i see one for linux and some other one for pre compiled or somethin like that...so if u could give me the exact download name on the webstie

You want the windows one (if you are running windows) - the latest version.

It is called: "Download - Pre-Compiled Memtest86 v3.1a installable from Windows and DOS" on the page.

Memtest installs itself on the floppy - you then have to boot from said floppy to run Memtest.

this is the latest version: Memtest86 3.1a Release (11/Mar/2004)

you can also make a bootable cd as well, if you dont have a floppy.
