The next system I buy just may be a laptop containing one of these cards :)

BTW, this is a major step up from the Mobility 9700 which is basically like a Radeon 9600 for desktop, NOT a Radeon 9700. It has 128-bit memory and 4 pipelines.

Wow, its based on the R420 rather than the R350/R360 as well so you'll get the additional shader lengths as well. To me its a huge step compared to the Mobility Radeon 9700 as the Mobility Radeon 9800 looks like a more advanced version of a 9800 Pro, although I'm expecting around the same performance.

Also, now I'm curious to see what nVidia comes up with to counteract this. ;)

YAY this looks sweet :) I think soon down the road I'll need to get a laptop with one of these chips :) Can't wait to see how it performs :) .....and eats up battery life :(
