I have started to realize I did a terrible buy in my A7M266 mobo... stupid as I was I didn't do enough research into the thing before buying it. Now I'm sitting here with a mobo that makes my life a living hell since I can't o/c the thing worth crap. :( The CPU is a birdy at 1,33.

If ANYONE has ANY idea about how to o/c this ******* it would be much appriciated. In the mean time I'm saving up for a new mobo!

I allready have it at 1462 MHz... and I can get it to go higher to. But if I do Windows refuses to start. Any ideas? Allso, I have not mocked around with the core v. yet... do any of you think it could help?

thx

Have you added the switches so you can change the multiplier? Otherwise, good luck, my best friend has that board and there isn't a single thing about it that makes it worth buying, in hindsight. I got the A7A and after claiming warranty on it once and it failing again I decided to just junk it...Asus boards aren't what they're reputed to be, anymore...

Hey thats the same MB i bought as well. I used it for a few days and them filled out an RMA and shipped it back. You right it sucks. Is there any way you can return it? I just picked myself up an ABIT KG7RAID.

I was able to get mine Asus A7M266 to work at 10.5x142 with an AMD 1.4 and pc 2400 ram.....

Any of you know of an online store where I can get some termal grease? I've never been able to find the stuff here in norway, and the stuff on the fans just don't cut it.
