Today I got my 9800 Pro. So i go get driver cleaner. I clean out the remenants from my old 9500 Pro, and then the remenants from the Geforce FX 5200nu that i had been using since my 95 died. Then I did a defrag just to make everything nice and orderly. My next step is to install the newest Omega drivers. Everything goes smoothly. Next i screw around, I use RadLinker to clock the core and mem to 390mhz, max driver settings, go into AA and max game settings and see how she holds up.
Next I decide to figure out whether or not ATI tool is telling me i have an R360. so I open that up (my previous post was before i realized that the omega installation was in the omega folder :tard:), to find it impossible to change clocks in ATI tool. I fiddled with it a bit, rebooted with radlinker at stock. Still no dice. Also when i click for system info, nothing come up.
I proced to try powersrip, and i cannot adjust clocks there either.
I figure, ok, its the omegas screwing up, they gave me trouble with the NV card. So i uninstall them, and install ATI drivers. No change. So i uninstall, run driver cleaner, and reinstall ATI drivers. That leaves me where I am sitting right now, with the problem no better under control. And, I notice that somewhere along the line, something happened to make my CPU run at max load constantly. Both MBM and TaskManager are telling me this, and I can feel the lag caused by it.
HELP?!
