Does anyone know if using FL3 to change your fsb while F@H is running causes any problems, like folding the protiens incorrectly?

Yea it could. Your upping the speed of the CPU while its working on something like that it could have crashed your system too.

Thanx for the info, I'll try not to up it while fah is running:D

Np all that matter is that the units are good we haven't heard of bad units due to overclocking but no one is sure about that yet. Mine would bomb out when the CPU couldn't take it. Kinda like you hit ctrl+C.

Yeah. same here. It just cuts right out.

I can't seem to get my tbird up too high anyway and fah stopped dead at a little over 1000 even at higher voltage, wouldn't run for more than 20 seconds -now back to 950 at default voltage and running fine. It's the little engine that wished it could.

I personally wouldn't mess too much with a progie like that or SoftFSB while folding. I think it's important that we turn in good, usable work units even though we do get pretty wrapped up in the competition. There was a frontpage article a while back about if overclocking corrupts data in the proteins and I wouldnt want to be responsible for inaccurate data.
