Recommend a good strategy game

already played all the well known ones like warcraft 3, aoe 2, aom etc etc,

I loved total annihilation... so anything you people would recommend?

I HIGHLY recomend these games as i'am a high strategy game player: Empire Earth and its expansion (Art of Conquest). Hopefully EE2 coming in two months and age of kings with it's expansions. Have fun with these great games!!! :bday:

Edit: Maybe Empires DAwn of the Modern World.. it's not that great though.. its decent.

have you tried GalCiv? is a turned based space strat. can get pretty long though...

Is fairly recent, but low end visual(as far as today goes...). I really enjoy the gameplay though. they had an older version for OS/2 i believe, this is a re-release, also there is an expansion pack out soon, adds a couple features that should be fun.

Also, if you havent already, try out custom games for WC3, im addicted to the dota maps right now, its pretty fun.

Earth 2150 was a good one. always loved blowing away the comp as GED with my nukes (i think it was earth 2150. that was so long ago...)

Empires Dawn of the Modern World was frickin awesome IMHO. Many people like Rise of Nations but I didn't like the actual combat system so much. RoN was good, however, in the fact that you have the real-world map to conquer the world. I like games like that ^_^

I was going to also say Rise of Nations with it's expansion pack. I've only played the demo, but this seems to be an extremely entertaining RTS game.

:) - i wish they would make their multiplayer more like RON - just live turns - they havea "turnless" system now on civ III gold but i dunno, doesnt feel right.


only thing i hate about MS games like RON - they ALWAYS seem to limit you to 200 or like 250 units you can build and that is it!!! i hate it - i want armies in the thousands!!
