This weekend I finished building a small server for my brother's company.
Board is an Abit NF7-S, OS is Windows Small Business Server 2003 and the twin 74GB Raptors are in a RAID1 array.
In Disk Management, Windows only shows one drive.
On his old server ( Server 2000 w/ SCSI RAID 1), Disk Management shows TWO C: drives and shows their status ( i.e. "healthy").
During boot up, the system detects the two Raptors and shows them as a mirrored set.
We are using Trat's D24 BIOS and the newest Sata drivers from Silicon Image for Server 2003.
Is this display anamoly a function of SATA RAID, Windows, or did we screw up?
Is there a third party app to monitor the disk status from within Windows?
