Does anyone know what this dll is used for?
asiclayer.dll
trying to fix a friends pc and have never seen this one before.

Not sure.

If I run regedit I get." regedit has caused an error in ASICLAYER.DLL regedit will now close.

same thing with AIM, and cant get on line.Can get IP address and browse the network?:confused: :confused:

removed hotbar, no more error.
now explorer.exe crashes:mad:

asic stands for application specific integrated circiut. Asiclayer.dll is probably part of a driver. My research showed that asics are used a lot by manufacturers of network equipment. Asiclayer.dll may be a generic name. Just my 2¢ worth. Their isn't to much out there on the subject.
