Hey everyone!

I currently have (2) 512mb 2700 Kingston ValueRam sticks in my system right now, and am looking to upgrade SOMETHING... haha. :bday:

Which would be better, sticking with the 1 gig of pc2700 that I have, or getting one 512mb stick of pc3200 (like the Corsair XMS with CL 2-2-3-6 chips)?

(My Asus P4S800D-E Deluxe will only go up to DDR400)

PC3200 would be great but what is the rest of your system? Upgrading is the greatest but not knowing your system info it's hard to say upgrading your ram is the most important.

Well, I should make a sig with my specs (too lazy... haha)

But here they are:

ASUS P4S800D-E Deluxe
P4 2.8C @ 3.08
Antec True550
Antec Plus1080AMG
PowerColor 9600XT
1 gig Kingston 2700 (duh)
(2) WD 250 Gb IDE
(2) WD 200 Gb SATA
(1) WD 160 Gb IDE
Sony DRU-510A DVD/DVDRW
Samsung CDRW/DVD
9 Fans, etc, etc

I'll get an 9800 Pro soon, but figured I wanted to do something about the ram first anyways. Just didn't know if it would be worth going down to 512mb of 3200 ram (cuz that's all I can afford at this moment), compared to the 1gig 2700 I have right now

well to get 512MB would you go with 1x512 stick or 2x256 sticks? It would take up an extra slot but would let you run it dual channel. I wouldn't say that would be worth it. Wait until you have the cash and buy 2x512 sticks of 3200 so you can run dual channel. The rest of your specs look great.
