A few months ago I bought an antec trublue 480 for 70 bucks, was 15 cheaper than the non led one.

Well im now faced with a stupid problem I worked myself into :bang head

I spaced out that I transfered colleges and will be living in a dorm next year, and I cant have the led shining all the time (My pc is always on, had to get a non window case already too) and I really need to shut it off if its possible...

I dont want to have to buy a new PSU, this psu is perfect, I dont want to switch to a different one for 60-75 dollars because I just cant spare the cash. Does anyone know if its possible to disable this LED?

You can swap fans. Find some normal 80mm fans and replace the LED ones with those. You could also probably cut the wires to the LEDs on the LED fan. Just be careful when you're in the PSU.

If you cut the wires on the fan led's make sure that when you're done none of the wires are touching other wires or the psu case, if they are and you power on, you'll short out something. I've done it, all that happened was a reboot, but it coulda been worse.
