Serious Kyro 2 tweaking mod

I found this tweaking mod for the Hercules Kyro 2 video card. It really does'nt look that hard. I have seen quite a few requests for tweaks for Kyro 2's, so I thought this might be of interest.

Yeah, the voltage mod does look pretty straight forward. I have Hercules Kyro 2 but I haven't figured out the cooling setup for the chip. I've read several places that the voltage mod adds a lot of heat to the chip! Looks like that's true from the pictures! :)

You could alway do a extreme cooling HSF like this, it should work for the Kyro II

I like the first one A LOT. Sweet sinks!! The only issue I have is that whatever I do has to be permanent...ie..using glue. There's no holes on the Hercules PCB and I'm not about to go crazy w/ a drill!! :) If all goes well...I'm hoping to make my first real "write-up" on the whole process. Just gotta build up the nerve..everything I need is within arms reach..:)

Check this (http://www.segatech.com/powervr/kyro3/index.html)out. Everything that the current chip/card is missing...of course this is all just rumor at the moment but...4 rendering pipelines..DDR Ram, Hardware T&L unit (extra cool), and a 250MHz GPU. Looks like Core and Memory are synched again but heck..sounds like a real nice card!

I tried this before about 1 month ago with 15K OHMS but no luck the picture quality was poor and cold, so i removed it. I have'nt tried the 18K OHMS coz radio shack in my place don't have them. Been looking for them for quite a while now.
Well as soon as i am able to mod my Kyro II i'll let you guys know = ) Oh before i forget, you don't have to change the fan to overclock this card coz it does'nt emit that much heat, just put AS2 and you'll be good to go.....
