Okay - I'll try to make this short. my cpu wasn't postin' with the ic7.. sometimes it recognizes my IDES, then at the end says that the cpu is unworkable or has been changed. Then I clear the CMOS, and it just gets hung at cpu detection. clear the cmos.. recognizes ides.. same cpu is unworkable message. clear cmos.. hangs at cpu detection. It was like a loop. My keyboard dies (locks up).. everything locks up.
so I get the ic7-G, plug it in, and now all I'm getting is a black screen. No cpu detection, no post, just a black screen. My keyboard *isn't* frozen though, I can hit the CAPS button (and it lights up just fine).. all my lights on the keyboard light up.. - - the motherboard beeps fine, it's all good.. just a black screen.
So, it is my 2.6?!!
