HI all,
My system is:
Shuttle AN35 Ultra, AMD 2800+, overclocked to 180 fsb (multiplier was locked at 12.5), Vcore 1.7V,
with 2 sticks of 512 MB Corsair VS pc3200 rams and 1 stick of 512 MB generic pc3200 ram (for a total of 1.5 GB). Ram timing is 11-3-3-2.5. Ram voltage is default as I see no need to increase it as I'm not even remotely reaching PC3200 (DDR400) speed.
Prima95 passed and stable with no problem.
I d/l the cd image of memtest, booted it up and ran all memory diagnostic from the menu: memtest86, Windows mem test and DocMem memory diagnostic to test the memory. Everything passed except memtest86 failed on test #5. I ran it several times and the failed addresses were always different. There were about 8 of them ranging from 400 MB range to 1.2 GB range.
What exactly does it mean? Every other tests (other memtest86 tests and Windows Mem Diag and DocMem diag) passed successfully, except just this one, test #5.
I would really appreciate your help and comments.
Thank you.
-Mike-
