Whats the best heatsink/fan for a 3.0 (northwood) that costs around or less than $30? Cause my Thermaltake Spark 7+ really sucks, and I want to get a better one without spending a whole lot :/

Hehe, well... I was going to suggest the spark 7 + (i also use one). I do agree that it does suck but for less then 30 bucks, I dunno
I'll look around a little and post what I find
The Thermalright SLK-948U might be a little more than your budget... I seem to remember maybe $35 at newegg, but it's been a while since I've looked... however, it's a great heatsink for the price.

Is their any other good heatsinks? Because all the ones that newegg have are above my spending budget atm (need to get more ram and a new mobo also...)
I did some checking... seems like all the decent heatsinks run about $40 or more. Maybe you can use that Spark heatsink and figure out how to mount a better 80mm fan on there that will flow more air?
EDIT: I looked up this cooler and it appears there is a jumper that can be enabled which allows the fan to run at max speed. Try that.
