Remote desktop connection over VPN

HEy,

Any idea why i cant establish a remote desktop connection over VPN. I can establish VPN with my home with no problems, nevertheless i cannot RDC my pc. I enable remote desktop connection under Computer properties > remote tab.

When i connect thru VPN my home PC assigns an IP address ,

Can you ping your home computer while connected over the VPN?

No i cannot ping it from remote location after VPN is established

My home pc assignes me with a local ip address 10.0.0.201 when i connect over VPN. My local pc is 10.0.0.10

Okay, that means something is wrong with the VPN. What VPN server are you using, and what settings have you put in?

My home PC is runnig winXP pro, I create a new network connection to accept incoming connections, i specified range of IP addresses to be assigned. I open port 1723,48, and 3389. I can connect over VPN, and when i connect, it shows that a client is connect under incoming connections.

Change the IP addresses to be assigned to something different. Try a range in 172.16.x.x.
