I just checked and there a crap load of listings on e-bay for this. Personally I think it reduces the amount of these types of offers, but hey I guess for some people it's just a quick buck. :(

i'm against it. this is a killer deal for people like myself who cannot afford $500 for an 64bit setup. people who take advantage just to sell them ruin things because deals like this come less and less often.

I don't like it at all, but there's not much you can do about it other than spread the word about the deal. Profiteers exist almost everywhere, and quite a few people are willing to do something like this to make a quick dollar.
However, if this deal extends for awhile longer, I doubt the Ebay sellers will make as much profit as they used to as more people will hear about it and take advantage, rather than thinking that they got a "great deal" on Ebay.

I have nothing against people selling things for profit, unless the seller ordered like 5 or 6 from AMD illegitimately. That would **** me off...

100% for it. With the way I get ripped on some of my MIR's, deals like this help me to balance out my loss. At the same time I also believe in spreading the wealth, thats why I only ordered one.

Now if only I could say that I ordered none because I "believe in spreading the wealth"
Yes it does **** me off if people buy a couple of these combos and the sell it on ebay for twice as much. No deal for me :(

I really wanted one becuase I was about to pay the same prive for a A XP-M and if I could have got this deal my computer would be up to date for a much longer time than its going to be right now.

So I could say I am against based on that, but then again its capitolism and the people that got to it first have the right to sell them. However if they were a company that just got like 50 of them just to sell then I would be mad.

If it makes you feel any better they canceled a bunch of the orders including both a friend of mines and mine.

I think it sucks bad. It ruins it for everybody else. The combo is an excellent deal. The manufactures did not have to do it....but they did and at a considerable price cut. How would you like your combo offering exploited? Will this hurt AMD & Asus? Nope, not at all...but it will sure hurt us and any other combo offering that was due to come out.

BTW, I don't much care for the manufacturer M.I.R. ripoffs either but this doesn't get back at anybody...it just hurts the end-user.

Anybody up for another AMD price increase?????

I didn't mean it as a way of getting back at any one of the manufactures, but as a way to even out the debt to cash ratio of my wallet ;). BTY they are getting rid of the socket that was a dead end from the beaning. it was most likely a double fold move to spread AMD to the end user (done regardless) and to remove old stock they would of had to of eaten the cost on.
