Do you put up with it?

I myself still have a GeForce4TI 4400 128MB 4X AGP Video card.
I suffer daily (ESPECIALLY when playing Far Cry) with low frame rates.
I put up with 20-30 or less due to my lack of funds to obtain a higher graphics card.
Am I the only one in this boat? :rolleyes:

Now, I do have the luxury of having a SATA HDD, and a descent Motherboard, Ram config, and Processor (notice I said descent, not 'GREAT').
Just wondering if i'm the only one...
Post up your little inuendo's and use this space to complain and dream.

If I had the money, I'd upgrade (realistically) to a 256 MB PCI Express Vid Card, Probably keep my RAM but up it to 1024 from it's current 512, and up to a 3.0 Processor with HT and 1MB of Cache.

I know i'm not the only one out there that cares to throw up a sob story...
Lets hear it for the rest of you.

OH! and for those that are curious, I make over 45K a year, but I have a 'signifigant other' that eats up most of my income... that and a motorcycle and a luxury car that costs me out the A$$. LOL :santa:

I have a GeForce 3 (no TI crap original GF3) and I deal with bad frame rates every day. I am used to it now, I play Far Cry, and Halo, and Call Of Duty, etc. I will be spoiled when I get my 6800 :P

yeaa i got a FX 5200..plays far cry decently...on low settings 50+ fps....but i just bought a fx5900 out of the classifieds here so should be getting that soon :)

I play Far Cry on medium settings with a GF3 Ti 200 :D I get a good 20-30 FPS...:)

Cant wait to get my 6800...I think im in for quite a shock :)

Open up a checking account, and they'll give you a check card. I think you have to keep 200 in there for a few days or something, but with most accounts you can spend all the money in it as long as it doesnt go to zero or below.

I have a Ti4200 and I don't find Farcry suffers that bad at all, even with AA. I'm not that big if a gamer, so my Ti4200 is quite good for me, I haven't played a game yet that it lags on, even in Farcry it doesn't get choppy, and I play everyhting at 1024 x 768.

As u can see my rig aint that great iether..but my radeon 9200se is doing fine for now..Its oc'ed and frankly its doign great i get pretty good frames in doom 3 i will post some screens and my fps ...i thinkits my proc that makes up for my bad vid card...but frankly if i had a choice i wouldnt upgrade at the moment. In about a month ill pick up a nice 9600 pro or something.

I hate my duron like i hated my old radeon 7000, well it's better then my old 1.2 toltulan celeron

yeah quit sobbing, save up some money and get a real rig. sell the bike, and soup up the car. dont stretch yourself so thin on these sort of things ;)
