Used from a friend.. He offered 200. so im thinking 200 might be a bit steep, should i talk him down?

If it is an original 9800XT and in good condition then yea, thats alright. But as an alternative you could get a Sapphire 9800 Pro from newegg for about the same, and with some luck, get the r360 and just flash to an XT with ease. R350s tend to shear in 3dmark03 but still I flashed my 9800Pro (r350) to XT and got about 300 more points in 3dmark. I can get 7072 with max tweaks. If you go with the new card, you should get new cooling if you want to OC to XT speeds. Most people like the VGA Silencer, but the new ATi Silencer 3 is coming out very soon so you could get that as well.

9800xt is still atleast $369 from newegg. If you are going to get a 9800xt for basically $175, snatch it up.
