Hi all !

That`s my first post here but i've been hanging aroud for a while as a reader only. So I tough about sharing my ideas as you all do.;)

So here is my first question. I bought a car heater core for my water setup and it's 5 * 8 * 1 1/2 inches (taller in case I add a peltier later). I don't have the w/b for now but i plan to order it shortly (made one from an heatsink for my k6-2 but it's hold by brace...so i don't think it's a good idea to strech it to the socket of my new athlon). But in the meantime I want to place my rad and reservoir in my case so the last thing to place will be the w/b.

The problem is, I have to relocate the psu in front to leave enough space in the rear to place my big rad. The psu's intake fits a 5 1/2 bay and I plan to build a duct so psu's heat won't get inside. Got enough space upside to put my reservoir so the bottom part is ready to receive a 120mm (the setup would be like Joe's "Watercooling - A to Z" except the pump is upside, making more clearance for bottom and psu in front).

Did someone had to do this psu move and/or what do you think about my idea ? What about air circulation without the psu in the way ?

Thanks in advance !

xcr

Ps.: Is there a Canadian overclocker who ordered swiftech w/b ? I would need infos on fees so I won't get surprises on my credit card accnt. Thx!

i put my old psu in 2 5 1/4 inch bays at the front , i had it so the cable stuck out of the front, i found this was a benifit when i was moving my computer around

Maybe you can put it on the outside and drill some holes in the side panel to slip in the connector cables.

I had to move my psu to the front of my case. Mine is now at the bottom of the front and the cable comes out of a free expansion slot.
