whats normaly the cheapest hardrives go for per gb. Right now im looking at a 250GB maxtor thats .50/gb anything cheaper?

not that i know of, HDD has been stuck at that price for a while now, problem is the rebate, can't seems to get 50c/gb without rebate, i manage to get a 160 at that price without rebate, but that's about it, I wish they would sale 40GB with 8mb buffer at that price :) good for window :)

Fry's often has good hdd deals, last week they had 160GB for $70, 250GB for $120. If you don't have a local fry's, go to outpost.com, sometimes they match fry's price, you have to pay shipping but no tax.
