Hey i have been having some pretty wierd internet problems..my net goes out and comes back..and it does this every few minutes. I have no idea what is causing this to happen. Here is a screen that looks wierd im gettn more packets sent then i can recieve, And yes i have a router. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you running a firewall, someone may be flooding you with an attack. I would run a virus and adware scans to make sure you are clean, make sure you are up to date with Windows Updates and the like, and if that doesn't owrk I'd reinstall the internet drivers.

i dont have a firewall other people on the network do but that has never bothered me. Anyway ill do everything u said.

God wat the hell is happenign im getting like 100,000 packets sent to my machine but why can i only recieve 30,000 why is this happening its so annoying. My dls are slower and my net is a slower..god id do anything to get this fixed. if i have to format...i will get really mad. Every other pc in my house is fine its just me.

so you say other people are on this network as well? I have cable and if I am download a ton of stuff at once my sisters computer the only other one on the network is slow as anything. Could be that, or there could be an attack on another computer on the network.

people always dl here tons too and the net is always fast for me..i dont know whats happening. It started 2 days ago..and its so annoying.. the net goes out comes back every 10 minutes huge packet loss...its wierd its like my computer cant recieve the packets fast enough. Im getting tons sent..but recieving very little.

okay so recieving is the problem. Check your recieve rate. You said this is dsl right? Go to control panel-system-device manager- and properties of however you are connected to the network portwise. Mines under ports and com1. go to port settings and under flow control check none, and under port settings set to 128000 and see if that does anything.

I'd change the top setting to 128000 see if that helps

I have tried everything.. guess im gonna have to format then. Thx for all your help...is their anything else i can do befor formating?? I have a network card and the onboard network...maybe i should use the onboard?? I had to switch to onboard because i was losing connection every 2 minutes now...its horrible..im so stumped.

I'd try the abit website, see if they have if not try the network card.
