Monarch lists their onboard audio: Realtek ALC850 Audio AC'97 Codec

Newegg lists their MB onboard audio: Realtek ALC850 8-Channel Codec

Is it the same thing?

yep exactly the same but i dontknow if the Monarch one is 8-channel
