Looking for a level switch for my res

I am looking for a mechanical(probably cheaper than any other type) level switch for my round res. Does anyone know of a level switch that you can insert through a 1/4NPT connection. I have seen some small ones out there but they would mount from inside the res which does not work since the res is already build.

I think I am looking for something that is a little larger than a pencil.

Let me know if you know where I can find something.

Im thinking of and very tempted to switch from my radiator to an evaporative cooling system. My bios does not support shut down at a given tempature. I would also like an answer to this question or how you can make one.

then look into settings in/for MBM5 that initate shutdown?

you can do a electrical switch, uses a transistor and a couple other components

do a search for "water sensor circuit" or something like that on google

Try a company called Gems Sensors.
