I am relatively new to the world of overclocking, I know what it is, what it does, and the concequences involved. I just can't figure how to do it. I've read the guides on this site, and while informative and interesting, they don't really help me with my dilemma.

My Problem: How do I change the FSB settings from my BIOS?
MOBO: Supermicro P3TSSA
CPU: P3 1ghz 133FSB FCPGA
BIOS: AMIBIOS version 7.0

The manual says that the CPU FSB speeds can indeed be changed from the BIOS, but these settings are no where to be found. Jumper settings inside are set to force 133FSB. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I just going about it the wrong way? Any help, tips, or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time. :)

Hey there, welcome...There should be a "user defined" (or something closely resembling that) option in the cpu settings section of your bios, something that allows all the cpu settings to be modified... I haven't used a supermicro motherboard in years, and definitely not with that bios, but I'm certain it's possible.

What exactly do you mean by "jumper settings inside"?

If the jumpers on the mobo are set to force 133Mhz, you have to change these jumpers, so it reads whatever you set it to in the BIOS.

I haven't tried a motherboard like yours, so I'm not quite sure what you should do to get a succesful overclock. As for the manual, check to see if you can overclock thru jumpers on the motherboard itself, try that and forget about the bios for now.
