View Full Version : If your Doom III thread disappears
It has (probably) not been deleted. It has merely been amalgamated into one of the other Doom III threads here in the Doom III section . . . I mean the Games section.
With so many people having such an abundance of questions, it's been decided that it's better to amalgamate them into larger threads. So instead of having every thread on the first page of Games a Doom III thread, we can now leave some room for other questions about other games (there are other games out there, y'know? :))
Just a heads up.

Their is an arcade in doom3.. u can play the game their.. u gotta punch chickens and stuff its fun.

I agree. Let it go folks, doom 3 is just one of many good games. Am I an anti doomer? No, I plan on getting it eventually. But common, all these questions everyone has and comments are all the freaking same, do a search. Hehe. Anyway, sorry for that little rant.
I think this makes sense. Only down side is that I can see it getting to like 10 pages in to time :(

If any one is wondering how the game runs with low end cards(budget) like the radeon 9200se here is a screen. This is 800X600, medium quality, and getttn pretty great FPS.

No seriously... <not joking> Where are the time demos? I'd love to give them a spin. I tried google, but I keep getting trash results....kinda like alot of these "doom 3" theads I keep seeing. :-/
I wish people would keep the threads to a minimum. I think everyone will agree at how annoying its become. If it werent for the mods, we would have 50+ threads all saying the same thing :rolleyes:, thx for keeping the forums tidy. I bet it gets really irratating deleting all these "w0000tr!!!111!1! use the built in timedemo
check the timedemo thread ..quite simple
timedemo demo1 @ console....

It went where it belongs, stop posting outside the major merged threads, you have no clue how big a pain in the rear it is to sign on to the forums and find another 12 threads about Doom III not posted in the merged threads. It get's annoying we could just delete on sight from here on out as well.

Arg, hate the whole idea, but can't fight the borg.
I've just started closing most of them. Their questions are either answered in the big amalgamated threads or don't belong in the Games section.
It's not about 'fighting the Borg'. It's about unclogging a hugely clogged section. Many of the new posts here have already been covered.
If you have a problem, try the search function first. It's what it's there for.

Search shows 1 thread of interest, 8 pages, maybe 1/8 of that is relevant because everything is combined. My post was specific, now it has been assimilated into a generic thread.
I'm not going to bother posting or reading doom 3 posts on this forum because of the combination tactic, I'm sure others feel the same way. I do however appreciate and value your efforts.

The timedemo thread was merged into oblivion of course....its fairly hw related you think it could have its own thread but noooo its buried now and we will not have a coherent place to look at scores....

There is a Doom III sticky. Put everything Doom Related in there.
