Well not to long ago i got a sleeving kit, and a bunch of new parts, so i posted some pics around the forum somwhere, and alot of people told me my wiring was hindering my airflow of my system, i am going to post pics to show before and after of this little project. lemme know what you think

looks better, but it could still use some work. i'd try to put the cables you have ziptied onto the psu behind the mobo tray, if it fits. you're hindering the airflow to your psu

Id like to think that you had some temp drops along with the asthetic benifit of that re-wire.

i thought that it was an impressive job. I couldn't have done better. what are those green things? i need to get some.

Green UV reactive zip ties, .25 cents each from www.svc.com. also got my uv lights from them 5.99 for a dual kit.
thanx for the comments guys, i think i came out pretty good myself, as for the wires near the psu fan, they arent over it, just infront of it, i know that its not the best spot, but it really was the only spot i could stuff them. i suppose i might have been able to run them behind the psu, but that little metal peice that supports the psu was really in the way.

as for seeing a temp drop, i am usually in my bedroom, which is A/C'd and i am at my cousins house right now, so the temps are naturally higher here. and at the same time i did the wiring, i also put in my new processor, and overclocked it, and i have fresh arctic silver on it, so the temps are higher also.

Very nice improvement. It looks like wire-ties are the only things you're using to control the insanity. Homie Depot has some nice little ratcheting clamps that you can stick anywhere you want, and they're cheap too. I'd highly recommend them if you want to make further improvements.

Also, shortening some wires by cutting and soldering can help quite a bit.

Um... it's a little bit better, but still not too good. I'd suggest running some of the wires beneath the mobo to the components, and running some of the wires behind the mobo tray.

The area at the top of your case behind the CDROM drives and in front of the PSU is not good. You're choking off it's air supply completely. The point of fans on the PSU is to get air inside the PSU to cool it, and when it cant, you can possibly damage your system.

My suggestion:

Unclip everything again and start over working on hooking up one peripheral at a time.

Run the wires behind the mobo. I have cut holes in my case to line up where the ide and floppy connectors are. I have the 12V and ATX lines going out of the back of the case, then coming back in throuh another hole I cut.

Like NP42 said, I use 2 ratcheting clamps to hold the rest of the wires right up against the front of the case.

Looks tons better , one thing that helps is hiding wires behind the mother board tray

Like everyone else said... Big improvement but try hiding wires behind the mobo tray when possible... Did you notice any temp drops?

i personally wouldn't b 2 pleased with it, the colour you chose wasn't exactly one that would blend in and b hidden easily, how ever there is a great deal of improvement from the 'before' picture.

1. Stick the wires below the psu above it (in the little space there)
2. Hide the wires at bottom of case some where.
3. Make sure your air flow is very clean and unless you have a side pannel fan you cpu must b fighting for air
4. Now you have the cables sleaved you could almost chop excess wire length off and no one will see the solder joins due to the sleaving
5. Hide them blimmin cold cathode box's on side of case they look awful! Hide them on other side.

Below is my wiring job, and although i am blowing my own trumpet you have to admit it is very clean and no restriction with airflow. :bday: I have hidden some wires and routed them too, can u guess where my little cathode box is??

Not to be critical but

1 optical VS 2
1 HD VS 3
1 Inverters VS 2
1 Cathode VS 4
0 Temp probes VS 4
0 Fan controllers VS 3 or 4

i can understand that, all i am saying is that there is a lot of wiring to be done. He has a different case and as u have pointed out more hardware, but things like the bunches of wires top n bottom need to b moved.

I dont mean to b critical more constructive criticism is what i mean. What case is that anyway. But what you cannot see on mine is behind that white cardboard is lots of wires but there mess is hidden.

Good luck and post some pics of any more improvemnts

well, just to point this out too, i am going for asthetics aswell, i bought uv reactive sleaving, so it would be visable, im not gonna run it behind my mobo when i took the hours to put it on. i know my case is obnoxious, bright, and mis matching, but i like that! it stands out, alot.
i have the xoxide demonx case.
http://www.xoxide.com/demonx.html
plus the really hard part about doing uv stuff, is the light doesnt travel very far, so if i want bright colors, i need the lights to be visable, plus uv cathodes arent bright to the eye, so they look kind of neat.

your case is very clean and neat phil, good job, and mine is just a different flavor. airflow might not be the greatest, but my temps are decent. it could be better, i might move another couple wires around, but its decent enough for me.

EDIT: i dont have a mobo tray... i have a small case for all the perhiperals i have.. i think up in person you might see that its not so bad. plus i have 7 case fans, more then enough airflow is running around this case.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..."
Ive worked on that same Demon case, and there really isnt much room inside to get fancy with the wiring. There is pretty much no room behind the PS or behind the mobo.
Good job on the wiring...

your case is very clean and neat phil, good job - thanks, yous insn't bad just a little unorgansised, but the colours may make it look worse than it is.

I hate small cases when you can't hide any thing its a right pain, well all in all and if u say it has no nooks and crannys, and you have done your best then all i can say is NICE JOB!!!!

you can get some white straps at the main modding store...yes the home depot and it's cheap too, i got like a thousnads for a couple of bucks...you can also go to staples but they'll give you all kind of colors for more $$$

Um, G-PHoRCe, that is a cool little animation in your post, but what does it have to do with wire organization. Unless the zombies are symbolic for evil messy wires?
