Hi Guys,
I need some help here. I am helping my brother assembling a computer. He bought the Shuttle SB61G2 V3 barebone system. Basically, he tore up his old Dell comp, took the PC2100 ram, Pentium 4 1.8A Ghz CPU, harddrive, CD-rom, and 9800 non-pro vid card and install them in this barebone system. When he hits the power up button, there is totally no signal to the monitor at all. I can see all the fans are working, there is light to the power on button. However, the monitor receives no signal, and remains on standby. There is no lights to the keyboard (caps, number lock, scroll lock LEDS), and also no light in his USB mouse. Can someone tell me what the problem is? Is this a broken Shuttle SB61G2 V3 ?
I did swap the vid card, and the problem didn't go away. So, I think the problem is either a bad CPU (probably damaged when he tried to move in from his old comp to the new one), or the computer itself is bad. Can someone please advice? thanks.
