Signed up a few days back from another forum, and the people who signed up a while back have been getting their zines already. And this is also supposed to add to your existing subscription if you have one already with any of these zines.

My guess is that YES, we'll see spam from this. I like every1 else that signs up for things like this have a "spam email addy" and use that for promotions such as this. But I've never heard any1 mention that their snail mail spam got heavier from this. I'm sure it happens to some people, but probably not as much as plain ol' email spam.

I used magazinevalues.com a few times. They require you receive offers through email in order for you to take advantage of their magazine prices, but have never noticed a difference in the volume of spam. So maybe my confidence is foolish, but if I'm going to get 5 good zines from this, I can deal with some more spam on my spam email acct.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but I've started getting my subscriptions (saw this offer about 6 weeks ago somewhere else...) and they are coming in the mail all cut up and battered, like they've been read by 5 people or something. Maybe it's just my mail carrier, but geez I'd like my mags in a halfway decent condition.

Ok here is a sad thought. I have signed up for so many of these free magazine things, that I get one magazine a day. I am being serious too. I may just turn my house into a magazine store :). Its great getting so many free comp magazines though. Better than spending $5 on them.
