reason for the upgrade: cant handle me gayputer, also because of doom 3 :D

do you guys think ill be able to run doom3 at 1024*watever in high setting and get acceptable fps?

Doom3 will play nice on that rig. Min. req. is 1.5 GHz w/ 64MB video card and 384MB system memory.

You got all those and some. You should be able to play with video setting at 'Ultra high'. Have fun.

Yep you'll be able to Doom 3 fine. That's an excellent choice for CPU, mobo, and vid card.

took me two days of research and many hours of calculations to come up with that pc. I would have got 2500+ mobile for the extra $$ but didnt really know that much about it when i ordered the 2500+.

btw you think the antec psu will have enough juice for the system?

Yes that's s good choice for a PSU. Should be adequate power.

The 2500+ is an excellent choice for overclockingas well. People here have overclocked it over the 3 GHz mark.

The Antec 430 will be fine. Unlike generic PSUs, the Antec really will put out 430 w.
