Could someone please give me advice on this what should i do?
I have the Epox 8k7a MoBo my multiplier is set at 136x6.5 i had the 1711 bios the other day and was getting mem scores of 620 - 800 in sandra. I just reflashed my bios to the 1823 bios and i just checked my mem scores and they are 520 -649 and i am using the same timings. what could cause this ? Is this Normal? Is sandra right? Should i flash back to the old bios?
Sandra is known to give varying memory scores.
But 100 seems alot.
Did you mess with the latency settings in the new bios?
They might have a effect.

No i sure didn't until now and it was at 35 at default and i just bumped it up to 70 as i see no noticable difference on anything. my system seems like it performs the same but after seeing my mem scores it makes me wonder what is going on im also thinking because this bios is still new it has not been tested much. it could have somthing to do with it i just hope that i am not playing with fire as do not want to ruin this MoBo. And what do you think Placid should i flash back to the 1711 version?
Flash back and see if your memory scroes go back up.
If they do then I guess its the bios if not I guess you missed some setting somewhere.
I dont think epox would send a customer a bios if they had not tested it well. I expect this bios to be on their site early next week so maybe flash back until its an "offical bios" if you are worried or find the memory scores are better with the 1711 version.
I have not had time to play with the new bios yet but I am sure you want the latency set to at least 64 if the bios allows it.

Hello everyone i just figured this problem out it isn't the BIOS flash that caused the slower MEM scores. It was this LYNKSYS USB NIC card that i had plugged in. My MEM scores are back to normal now @ 619 - 800 with the USB NIC plugged in it was at 519 - 671 what a difference. I am not going to use that junky thing anymore.
