I am looking for this chip for a friend and cant seem to find one. anyone know of a good place that sells them. Placid helped me find an 800, but the FSB on the mobo only goes to 133 giving a max of 1064 and I think he can get the 667 that high or maybie even higher for a little less money.

I see no cD0 667 cpu.
If you want a stepping of cC0 try www.pcnut.com maybe.
If you want to bargain hunt look for a 900 cD0 as they only make the 900 in cD0 so any you find is ok.
Dont worry about the 9x multiplier as the cpu is locked.

Wasn't woried about the multi, however I am worried about the FSB, the board will only support 133, didn't want to go with the 800 becous it seemed like a wast seeing how the board will only let it go up to 1064, I figured the 667cD0 would be the best way to go, I have heard of them getting to 1100 and even rarely 1200, just seemed like a wast of money to get the 800 when I will be limited by th mobo to 1064, when I could just as easy get a 667 for less ang get that high. Thank you for all of your help Placid, you have helped me more times than I can count.

I have a buddy that has a Celly 667 and it will barely run at 100 MHz FSB. Lots of those 667 chips didn't do so good. Placid is right...there is no cD0 667 chip. Personally, I think getting 1064 MHz out of a 800 CPU sounds pretty darn good. My first overclocking attempt was squeezing 133 MHz out of a Pentium I 120 chip. I was tickled pink. Maybe we are getting spoiled or something nowadays. Good luck.

133 is just a base spec on your FSB same a 100 and 66 mhz FSB. It should go above 133 like 134 135 and so on. If it dosen't ditch the board cause it won't overclock good

I thought 733 or something was the lowest of the cD0s

As always yall are right, sorry for the mix up. any suggestions on the cheapest chip that will hit 1ghz, I thought maybe a 600 cC0, but my friend is new to overclocking and this chip can be a little troublesum getting the gig, I know I have one @ 1044 and that was a pain.

The board is an abit BH6 rev1.01, I have never seen this board, but I asked him to make sure that the FSB will only go up to 133, Ithought Abit boards went up to 200 with the Soft Menu III technology, I thought it sounded odd also, but he said he was sure it only went to 133. (P.S. I had him flash the newest bios version SS, and still he said no support past 133.

If that is the case then get SoftFSB and do it once in winblows. Although you can't jump from the 66mhz to the 100mhz neither can you go from 100mhz to 133. It will lock the system fast as all get out.

Go find that clock gen

The Abit BH6 was a good board back in it's day, but your friend is right, it will not go above 133 FSB. It does not have Soft Menu III, it has Soft Menu I or II, don't remember which. As for which Celeron CPU will go above 1 gig, that's a gamble at best. The cC0 600 chips were awesome and should easily do 900 to 1 gig, but 1 gig is not a 100% sure thing. The cD0 800 might really be the best one to try.

Thanks Batboy for clearing that up for me, I think I will recomend him the 600 cC0, at worst case it will only go to 950, mine did that right out of the box, it will still be a nice upgrade from the celly 333 he currently has, one last question, does anyone know where I can get a cC0 now.
