Is there a difference? (Ram Question)

Hi all,I was thinking of adding another stick 512k ram to my existing x02 512k (for a total of 1.5gb ram). I currently have 02 sticks of kingston infenion rams running at 400mhz (dual channel). I play games and surf the net mostly with my pc,will it make a significant difference if I were to add it another stick of 512k ram? If so,must only be kingston infenion rams or I could use other brands with the same speed? Thks in advance.

I would only reccomend adding another 512mb if you played Doom 3 or did lots of work in 3ds Max, Maya, AutoCAD, etc. Otherwise you probably don't need it. You could get other brands, but it may cause problems. If you do get it, I would go with the same brand and model you already have.

Also, if you add that stick to your mobo, you will lose your dual channel speeds.
