I got a Asus P4C800 E-Deluxe board and I'm trying to get my mobo to recognize my Western Digital 10,000 RPM SATA Hard drive and at the same time, I went to hook up my other hard drives on IDE which are 1) Western Digital 100GIG and 2) Western Digital 160GIG. It doesn't seem to work at all... my SATA hard drive is connected into the SATA1 port.

Are you trying to install windows on the sata drive? if so you gotta install sata/raid drivers during windows installation.

i dont have to load drivers for using SATA. if your doing raid, then yes you have to.
