anyway, this is a budget ram, i think with these result, this ram is definately worth for it

Actually, since the spd for that ram is something like 3-3-3-8 or 3-4-4-8, you're doing quite well to be able to run it at 208 with those faster timings. This ram works best at high speeds, like 250 or more, with relaxed timings and those Hynix chips are actually the basis for much of the PC4000 and some of the PC4200 currently available.

Considering you got PC4000/4200 at KVR PC3200 prices, you should be feeling pretty good about your purchase.

WOW, the best ayone normally can get that stuff to run is 2.3.3.5 at 200 mhz congrats... hey reefa have u ever seen anyone besides him get those timings??. I wonder if this is a trend??

No I haven't which is why I had to comment on it. And that is with double-sided 512 sticks, too.

And I sure hope it is a trend, as your comment suggests, those are newer chips.

i am also suprise there value ram can do such a tight timing ..
actually at first, i cannot boot to window at 2-2-2 when mt 1st attemp, but i try to burn the ram at 166mhz at 2-2-2, then slowly increase, finally i got it at 208mhz n stable with memtest for overnight at 2.9vdimm

as i know these chips is used for corsair xms pro pc4000 if not mistaken

yeah my hynix bt-d43 will do
2-3-2-7@200-205
2.5-3-3-7@206-228
2.5-4-3-7@229-240
2.5-4-3-7@241-247
3-4-4-8@247-255

but still not 2-2-2

most of my fre can get 250 easily with 2.8vdimm 2.5-3-3 with dual channel
n i heard some people can get 270, n some even more than 300

Out of bt-d43? I have heard of some hitting those speeds, but MOST? If that is the case, then all I can say is that people in Malaysia are getting the best Hynix chips.

Care to ship some to the States??? :) And at $80 USD per stick? Wow!

  yeah this kinda frusterats me, because mine is Kingston HyperX (1x512), and right beside on it, on the shelf was Kinston Value ram w/ d43 for alot less, and it seem that you are having better results about of that that my HyperX.....lol

my fre found tat hyperx can overclock more when the ram spreader is taken out..
wonder why ~~
maybe u can have a try

lol, yeah the HyperX has what seems to be rubber pads between the heat speaders and the IC's, it almost seemed like it did more insalating that heat transfer, one day i might get board enough to take my Bh-6 out and try again:p

It is my belief that most of the chips used by Kingston in their HyperX end up in the ValueRam, just without heatspreaders.

I'm hoping that my assumptions pan out and before long, those new Samsung chips are going to start popping up in kvr, as well. Wouldn't that be nice!

hope there will be some samsung tccd chip in kvr , coz those samung tccd chip can do 2-2-2 at ddr400 and most of them memory manufacturer use it for high performance ram

kingston value chip is not good ... in term of tight timing or high fsb

209fsb at 2.5, 3, 2,11 is more than fine by me for $86, 256x2. All I do is play games and surf the net, seems to work more than fine.
