This has got to be the most ridiculous load of pig crap I have ever seen! Chef (South Park)
Well, I went to the computer show yesterday and picked up this very attractive piece of software. On the case it advertises copy protection, mp3 ripping, dvd ripping, cd burning, labelling, the whole works. But that's not why I got it. It also claims to have the ability to copy console games. While I don't advocate piracy, I do like to have copies of games for backup just in case something happens to the original. So the whole reason I got this was to copy some of my PSX games. I got home, opened it up, and there's an instruction sheet telling me to pop the CD in and I'll get an autoplay menu. I put the CD in and get no autoplay menu. Bad omen. I got to looking around on the CD, and all it is is a compilation of programs. The menu system doesn't work right and (here's the kicker).......I install the PSX copier only to find out that this program calls on ANOTHER program to run properly. I goto the website and download the demo. The demo doesn't work...all it does is tells me to register the product (I think it's $39...$29 for students) to get it to work properly.
Note to self: Don't ever buy anymore software from Wingear.
Hopefully, I'll have better luck with the DVD ripper and everything else....the situation looks grim though.
